ACHLA EKADASHI ~अचला एकादशी


अचला एकादशी को अपरा एकादशी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है यह हिंदुओं के लिए एक उपवास का दिन है जो हिंदू ज्येष्ठ माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की 'एकादशी' (11वें दिन) को किया जाता है। यह ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर में मई-जून के माह में पड़ता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि अचला एकादशी व्रत को रखने वाला व्यक्ति सभी पापों से मुक्त जाता  हैं। सभी एकादशियों के अनुरूप, अपरा एकादशी भी भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करने के लिए समर्पित है 

हिंदी में  'अपार' शब्द का अर्थ है  'असीम' , इस व्रत को मानने से व्यक्ति को असीमित धन की प्राप्ति होती है | इस एकादशी का एक और अर्थ यह है कि इससे उनके भक्तों को असीमित लाभ होता है। अपरा एकादशी का महत्व 'ब्रह्म पुराण' में बताया गया है। इस एकादशी को पूरे राष्ट्र में पूर्ण समर्पण व् निष्ठा के साथ मनाया जाता है। इसे भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों में विभिन्न नामों से जाना जाता है। पंजाब, जम्मू और कश्मीर और हरियाणा राज्य में, अपरा एकादशी को 'भद्रकाली एकादशी' के रूप में पूरे जोश और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाता है और इस शुभ दिन पर देवी भद्र काली की पूजा की जाती है। उड़ीसा में लोग इसे 'जलक्रीड़ा एकादशी'के रूप में संबोधित किया जाता है और इसे भगवान जगन्नाथ के आदर व् भक्तिभाव को दर्शाने के एक अवसर के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है।

 

अचला एकादशी व्रत का महत्व 

धर्म ग्रंथो के अनुसार अचला एकादशी उपवास रखने से गर्भपात, ब्रह्महत्या, राक्षस योनि, झूठ, बुराई व सभी तरह के पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है। इस पवित्र व्रत का प्रभाव, तीर्थ यात्रा, पिंड दान, सुवर्ण दान आदि से अधिक है। जो व्यक्ति पूरे विधि- विधान से अचला एकादशी व्रत का पालन करता है, उसे सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति, पापों से मुक्ति तथा मृत्यु के बाद भगवान विष्णु का धाम प्राप्त करता है।

 

अचला एकादशी व्रत कथा

धर्म शास्त्रों में अचला एकादशी व्रत के साथ एक कथा का वर्णन है जो इस प्रकार है कि महिध्वज नामक एक धर्मात्मा राजा था किन्तु उसका छोटा भाई बज्रध्वज बहुत ही क्रूर, अधर्मी तथा अन्यायी व्यक्ति था | वह अपने बडे भाई से बहुत ईर्ष्या करता था तथा वह अपनी प्रकृति के स्वरूप अवसरावादी था | एक रात उसने अपने बडे भाई की हत्या कर उसकी देह को पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे दबा देता है |

मृत्यु के पश्चात वह पीपल के वृक्ष पर उत्पात मचाने लगा जिसके कारण वहां रहने वाले सभी लोग भयभीत होने लगे अचानक एक दिन धौम्य नामक ऋषि वहां से गुजरते हैं तभी उन्हें इस वृक्ष का सारा वृतांत पता चलता है तत्पश्चात वह अपने तपोबल से उस आत्मा को पीपल एक पेड से नीचे उतारते हैं और उसे अपनी विधा का उपदेश देते हैं | ऋषि प्रेत्मात्मा को मोक्ष प्राप्ति के लिये अचला एकादशी व्रत करने का मार्ग सुझाते हैं |  इस प्रकार इस उपवास को करने से उसे प्रेत योनि से मुक्ति मिलत जाती है और मोक्ष प्राप्त होता है.


अचला एकादशी व्रत की पूजा विधि

एकादशी का व्रत करने के लिए व्यक्ति को पवित्र जल में स्नान पश्चात साफ वस्त्र धारण करने चाहिए। इसके बाद पूजा घर में या मंदिर में भगवान विष्णु और माँ लक्ष्मी की मूर्ति स्थापित करें। फिर रक्षा सूत्र बांधे। इसके बाद घी का दीया जलाएं। नियमनुसार भगवान की पूजा करें और दिन भर उपवास रखें। व्रत के अगले दिन ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराएं फिर खुद भोजन करें । अपरा एकादशी व्रत में साफ सफाई एवं मन की स्वच्छता का पूरा ध्यान रखा जाय। व्रत का प्रारंभ दशमी तिथि को हो जाता है। ऐसे में व्रती को दशमी तिथि से ही भोजन और आचार-विचार में संयम रखें। एकादशी तिथि के दिन सुबह जल्द उठ कर स्नानादि कर व्रत का संकल्प और भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करें। पूजन में तुलसी, चंदन, गंगाजल और फल का प्रसाद अर्पित अवश्य करें। इस दिन व्रती को छल-कपट, बुराई और झूठ से परहेज करना चाहिए। इस दिन चावल भी न खायें। एकादशी के दिन जो व्यक्ति विष्णुसहस्रनाम का पाठ करता है उस पर भगवान विष्णु की कृपा हमेशा बनी रहती है।

 




Achla Ekadashi also known as Apara Ekadashi, is a fasting day for Hindus celebrated on the 'Ekadashi' (11th day) of the Krishna Paksha of Hindu Jyestha month. It falls in the month of May-June in the Gregorian calendar. It is believed that the person observing the fast of Achla Ekadashi is free from all sins. As per all Ekadashi, Apara Ekadashi is also dedicated to worshiping Lord Vishnu.

The word 'apar' in Hindi means 'boundless', by observing this fast one gets unlimited wealth. Another meaning of this Ekadashi is that it brings unlimited benefits to his devotees. The significance of Apara Ekadashi is explained in 'Brahma Purana'. This Ekadashi is celebrated with full dedication and devotion throughout the nation. It is known by different names in different states of India. In the states of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, Apara Ekadashi is celebrated with full fervor and enthusiasm as 'Bhadrakali Ekadashi' and Goddess Bhadra Kali is worshiped on this auspicious day. In Orissa people refer to it as 'Jalkrida Ekadashi' and it is also celebrated as an occasion to show respect and devotion to Lord Jagannath.

 

Importance of Achla Ekadashi fast

According to religious texts, keeping fast on Achla Ekadashi gives freedom from abortion, bravery, demon vagina, lies, evil and all kinds of sins. The effect of this holy fast is more than pilgrimage, Pind Daan, Suvarna Daan etc. A person who observes Achla Ekadashi fast with the entire law, gets the blessings of good fortune, freedom from sins and the abode of Lord Vishnu after death.

 

Achla Ekadashi fast story

The scriptures narrate a story with Achla Ekadashi fast which follows that there was a godly king named Mahidhwaj but his younger brother vajradhwaj was a very cruel, unrighteous and unjust person. He was very jealous of his elder brother and he was an Opportunist by nature. One night he killed his elder brother and buried his body under the Peepal tree.

After death, he started creating a disturbance on the Peepal tree, due to which all the people living there started getting frightened, suddenly one day a sage named Dhaumya passes through there, only then he gets to know the whole account of this tree, then he gets that soul from his tapobal. He comes down from a tree and teaches him his discipline. The sage suggests the path of fasting Achala Ekadashi to attain salvation. In this way, by performing this fast, he gets freedom from the phantom vagina and attains salvation.


Achla Ekadashi fasting method

h.To fast for Ekadashi, a person should wear clean clothes after bathing in holy water. After this install the idol of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi in the worship house or in the temple. Then tie the defense thread. After this, light a lamp of ghee. According to the rules, worship God and keep fast throughout the day. On the next day of the fast, provide food to the Brahmins and then eat it yourself. cleanliness of mind should be taken care of during Apara Ekadashi fast. The fast starts on Dashami Tithi. In such a situation keep restraint in food and ethics from Dashami date itself. On the day of Ekadashi, get up early in the morning and take a bath and take a resolution to fast and worship Lord Vishnu. In the worship, make offerings of basil, sandalwood, gangajal and fruits. On this day, a fast should be avoided by deceit, evil and falsehood. Do not eat rice on this day. On the day of Ekadashi, the person who recites the Vishnusahsranamam always has the blessings of Lord Vishnu on him.
