दशमी के दिन, भक्त सिर्फ दोपहर का भोजन करते है। एकादशी के दिन, उन्हें भगवान नारायण के त्वरित, विचार और प्रस्तुतिकरण की आवश्यकता होती है। कोशिश करें कि एकादशी के दिन तेल न लगाएं और तुलसी के पत्ते भी न खाएं। विष्णु आश्रमम्, विष्णु सहस्रनाम, या "ओम् नमो नारायणाय" का पाठ करके मस्तिष्क और शरीर को परिष्कृत करने में दिन गुजारें। श्रद्धालु आमतौर पर रात्रि जागरण करते हैं भक्त रात भर विष्णु मंदिरो में श्लोकों का गायन करते हैं या भगवान नारायण को सुनाई जाने वाली कथाओं का आनंद लेते हैं। द्वादशी के दिन विष्णु मंदिर जाकर व्रत खोला जाता है। जो भक्त मंदिर नहीं जा सकते हैं, उन्हें सुबह जल्दी उठना चाहिए और अपने घरों में एक ज्योति प्रज्ज्वलित करके भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करनी चाहिए।

The temple opens on this day for the Nirmalya darshan, closing just after Dashami and Ekadashi which allows devotees to have countless darshans. Offering a token amount called Dwadashi Panam is an existing custom for the welfare of all.
In Kerala, Vrushika Ekadashi is known as Guruvayur Ekadashi which falls in the season of Mandala. One feature of Ekadashi is about the elephant Gajrajan Guruvayur Kesavan, who achieved amazing status and is still respected in temples. On Guruvayur Ekadashi, the head of elephants in Punnathur Kott of Guruvayur Temple garland and garland the statue of Guruvayur Kesavan and every single elephant surrounding it. A great elephant parade is performed near the Parthasarathy temple. Bhagavad Gita was conferred on Arjuna by Lord Krishna on this day. Geeta Jayanti is known here as Jethopadesham Day. On the day of Dwadashi, a kind of custom of offering Dwadashi Panam is observed in the Kootambalam of the temple, which has been called a deep prophet.
Celebrations and Rituals:
On the day of Dashami, devotees only have lunch. On the day of Ekadashi, they require quick, thought and presentation of Lord Narayana. Try not to apply oil on Ekadashi and do not eat basil leaves. Spend the day refining the mind and body by reciting Vishnu Ashramam, Vishnu Sahasranama, or "Om Namo Narayana". Devotees usually perform night awakening, with devotees singing shlokas at Vishnu temples throughout the night or enjoying the stories narrated to Lord Narayana. The fast is broken by visiting the Vishnu temple on Dwadashi. Devotees who cannot visit the temple should wake up early in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu by lighting a flame in their homes.
