पौष पूर्णिमा हिंदु धार्मिक मान्यता में आस्था रखने वाले लोगो के लिए एक अति महत्वपूर्ण दिन है जो हिंदू पंचांग में पौष मास के लंबे कालखंड में 'पूर्णिमा' के दिन पड़ता है। इस दिन बड़ी संख्या में लोग गंगा और यमुना की पवित्र जल धाराओं में स्नान करते हैं। ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर में, पौष पूर्णिमा को दिसंबर-जनवरी की अवधि में देखा जाता है।
पौष पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर, प्रयागराज में संगम पर (नदियों, गंगा, यमुना और सरस्वती का संगम) हिंदू उपदेशों के लिए विदेशों से बड़ी संख्या में लोग आते हैं। यह माना जाता है कि इस तरह के कार्यो से हर एक गलत काम मिट जाता है, यहां तक कि पिछले जन्मों से अब तक गलत कर्म समाप्त होके 'मोक्ष' के द्वार खुल जाते है। पौष पूर्णिमा के दिन स्नान के लिए कुछ प्रमुख स्थल जैसे प्रयाग, नासिक, हरिद्वार और उज्जैन हैं।
पौष पूर्णिमा को पूरे भारत में जोश और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाता है और इस दिन राष्ट्र के विभिन्न हिस्सों में हिंदू मंदिरो में कई समारोह भी आयोजित किए जाते हैं। कुछ स्थानों पर, पौष पूर्णिमा को 'शाकम्भरी जयंती' के रूप में मनाया जाता है और इस दिन देवी शाकंभरी (देवी दुर्गा का प्रतीक) को सबसे अधिक भक्तिभाव के साथ पूजन किया जाता है। 9 दिनों तक चलने वाली शाकंभरी नवरात्रि का उत्सव पौष पूर्णिमा के साथ समाप्त होता है। छत्तीसगढ़ के लोग इस दिन 'चरता' उत्सव भी मानते है।
पौष पूर्णिमा का महत्व:
पौष पूर्णिमा हिंदू श्रद्धालु भक्तो के लिए विशेष महत्व रखती है। यह दिन महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह सर्दियों के खत्म होने को दर्शाता है और इसके अलावा 'माघ' के लंबे पखवाड़े की औपचारिक शुरुआत है। प्रचलित 'महाकुंभ मेला' के समय आने वाली पौष पूर्णिमा का विशिष्ट महत्व है। हिंदू इस बात को मानते हैं कि पौष पूर्णिमा के इस अनुकूल दिन पर स्नान करने से वे अपने हर गलत कार्य के पाप से मुक्त हो जायेंगे और अपनी इच्छाओं की पूर्ति करेंगे।
पौष पूर्णिमा के दृष्टिकोण के साथ, औपचारिक माघ स्नान का समय भी शुरू होता है। श्रद्धालु जो पवित्र पौष पूर्णिमा को मानते हैं, इसे अपने सभी आंतरिक मृदुता को समाप्त करने के लिए एक अवसर के रूप में उपयोग करते हैं।
पौष पूर्णिमा और इसकी पूजा विधान पर उपवास :
पौष पूर्णिमा के शुभ अवसर पर, श्रद्धालु एकत्रित होकर अपनी आस्था का प्रदर्शन करते हैं और पवित्र जल में स्नान करते हैं, परोपकार, शांति और व्रत रखते हैं ताकि मोक्ष प्राप्त कर सकें। इस दिन भगवान सूर्य का पूजन बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बताया गया है।
पौष पूर्णिमा के लिए पूजा विधान
1. स्नान करने पश्चात उपवास करें ।
2. नदी, कुएं या कुंड में डुबकी लगाने से पहले वरुण देव का ध्यान।
3. मंत्र पढ़ते हुए भगवान सूर्य को जल चढ़ाएं।
4. भगवान मधुसूदन की वंदना करें और उन्हें पवित्र भोग या नैवेद्य अर्पित करें।
5. परोपकार व्यक्ति या ब्राह्मण का पोषण करके परोपकार करें।
6. लड्डू या गुड़, ऊनी वस्त्र और कवर जैसी चीजें परोपकारी चीजों को अपने पूजा थाली में शामिल करें ।
Paush Purnima is a very important day for Hindus which falls on the 'Purnima' day in the long section of Pausha in the Hindu program. On this day a large number of people bathe in the streams of Ganges and Yamuna. In the Gregorian calendar, Pausha Purnima is observed over the long period of December – January. On the occasion of Paush Purnima, at Prayag Sangam (confluence of rivers, Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati) large number of people come from abroad for Hindu sermons. It is believed that every wrongdoing is erased by such actions, even from previous lives, the doors of 'Moksha' are opened. Some of the major sites are Prayag, Nashik, Allahabad and Ujjain.
Paush Purnima is celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm throughout India and on this day many ceremonies are held in Hindu temples in different parts of the nation. In some places, Pausha Purnima is celebrated as 'Shakambhari Jayanti' and on this day Goddess Shakambhari (symbol of Goddess Durga) is worshiped with the most devotion. The 9-day long festival of Shakambhari Navaratri ends with Pausha Purnima. People of Chhattisgarh praise the 'Charta' festival on this day.
Importance of Paush Purnima:
Paush Purnima holds tremendous religious significance for Hindu devotees. This day is important as it marks the end of winter and is also the formal beginning of the long stretch of 'Magha'. Paush Purnima, which comes at the time of the popular 'Maha Kumbh Mela', has special significance. Hindus believe that by taking Pausha Purnima bath on this favorable day, they will settle their wrongdoings and fulfill their wishes. With the view of Paush Purnima, the ceremonial Magh bath time also begins. Devotees who observe the holy Pausha Purnima use it as an opportunity to end all their inner softness.
Fasting on Paush Purnima and its worship
On the auspicious occasion of Paush Purnima, the devotees gather and demonstrate their faith and bathe in the holy water, keep altruism, peace and fast to attain salvation. Worshiping Lord Surya on this day is said to be very important.
Puja Vidhan for Paush Purnima
1. Fasting after bathing.
2. Meditation of Varun Dev before taking a dip in a river, well or kund.
3. Offer water to Lord Surya while reciting the mantra.
4. Offer obeisance to Lord Madhusudan and offer him pious Bhog or Naivedya.
5. Perform charity by nurturing a philanthropist or Brahmin.
6. Include philanthropic things like laddu or jaggery, woolen clothes and covers in your puja thali.
